Hi Peak Ventures was formed in 1995 when David Smith began operating as a Freelance Instructor and Provider. There are two strands to the business, one being a service as a Technical Adviser and Trainer and the second in offering tuition and support to individuals or small groups who seek to improve their skills as climbers or hillwalkers.
Courses
Hi Peak Ventures is not an Outdoor Centre and does not offer an annual programme of pre arranged courses. We can deliver many services on demand and offer competitive rates.
Qualifications
David gained the Mountain Instructor's Certificate in 1978 and has been a member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors since its formation.
A qualified teacher he has an Advanced Diploma in Outdoor Education. He has been responsible for Outdoor Education in schools and within the Youth Service. Dave is a keen and active climber with experience gained throughout the UK and many areas in Europe. He has also climbed in the USA and Canada and enjoys visiting new venues.
